Bad Girls is a British television drama series that was broadcast on ITV from 1 June 1999 until 20 December 2006. It was created by Maureen Chadwick and Ann McManus of Shed Productions, who initiated the idea of developing a series primarily focusing on the inmates and staff of the fictional women's prison, Larkhall, located in the South London region. Following the success of previous series Within These Walls and the Australian-imported Prisoner: Cell Block H, both of which screened on ITV, Bad Girls was commissioned by the network and was viewed as a realistic, modern portrayal of life in a women's prison.

Blue Gender is a 1999 Japanese animated science fiction television series produced by AIC and creator Ryōsuke Takahashi. The series is set in the 2030s, where Earth has been overrun by alien insectoid creatures called the Blue, which have wiped out most of the human race and forced the surviving humans to flee to Second Earth, a huge space station that orbits the planet. It focuses on the relationship between Yuji Kaido - a Japanese civilian rescued from cryogenic sleep, and Marlene Angel - a soldier from Second Earth, as they participate in military operations against the Blue.

Bob the Builder is a British animated children's television series created by Keith Chapman for HIT Entertainment which ran from 12 April 1999 (1999-04-12) to 31 December 2011 (2011-12-31) in the United Kingdom on the BBC, first on BBC One and later CBeebies. The series centres on the adventures and escapades of a general contractor named Bob who owns a team of anthropomorphic construction vehicles that go about their day helping out with construction work in several towns.
