The Twilight Zone is an anthology television series that aired from September 27, 1985, to April 15, 1989. It is the first of three revivals of Rod Serling's 1959–64 television series, and like the original it featured a variety of speculative fiction, commonly containing characters from a seemingly normal world stumbling into paranormal circumstances. Unlike the original, however, most episodes contained multiple self-contained stories instead of just one.

Alas Smith and Jones is a British comedy sketch television series starring Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones that originally ran for four series and two Christmas specials on BBC2 from 1984 to 1988, and then as Smith and Jones for six series on BBC1 from 1989 to 1998. A spin-off from Not the Nine O'Clock News, the show had a brief run in the United States on A&E and PBS in the late 1980s, as well as on CBS in the early 1990s during their late-night block.

Cat's Eye (Japanese: キャッツ♥アイ, Hepburn: Kyattsu Ai; stylized as CAT'S♥EYE) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1981 to 1985, with its chapters collected in 18 tankōbon volumes. The story follows the adventures of the three Kisugi sisters—Hitomi, Rui, and Ai, who are formidable art thieves trying to collect all the works belonging to their missing father.

Choudenshi Bioman (Japanese: 超電子バイオマン, Hepburn: Chōdenshi Baioman; Super Electron Bioman) is a Japanese tokusatsu science fiction television series; Toei Company's eighth installment in the Super Sentai metaseries. Its 51 episodes aired on TV Asahi from February 4, 1984, to January 19, 1985, replacing Kagaku Sentai Dynaman and was replaced by Dengeki Sentai Changeman with a movie being released during the show's initial run. The international English title is listed by Toei as Bioman.

Glass Mask (Japanese: ガラスの仮面, Hepburn: Garasu no Kamen) is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Suzue Miuchi, serialized in Hana to Yume from January 1976, and collected in 49 tankōbon volumes as of October 2012. Heimat is a series of films written and directed by Edgar Reitz about life in Germany from the 1840s to 2000 through the eyes of a family from the Hunsrück area of the Rhineland-Palatinate. Kids Incorporated (also known as Kids Inc.) is an American children's television program that began production in the early 1980s and continued airing into the mid-1990s. It was largely a youth-oriented program with musical performances as an integral part of every episode. The pilot episode was shot on September 1, 1983, and the series aired in syndication from September 1, 1984, to December 26, 1985, and on The Disney Channel from November 3, 1986, to January 9, 1994.
